We’re proud to share that Wild Lot Distillery is now officially accredited under the Quality Tourism Framework for Sustainable Tourism.
This accreditation recognises the real, behind-the-scenes work we’ve put in — the thoughtful decisions, small wins, and sometimes hard lessons that come with building a business that puts sustainability first. From water-wise gardening and recapturing process water, to compostable packaging, local sourcing, and low-impact systems, we’ve tried to tread lightly from day one.
We know we’re a small operation, and we’re still very much a work in progress. But this step means a lot to us. It gives our visitors, partners and supporters confidence that we’re on the right path — and that our values are more than just words.
Thank you to everyone who’s visited, shared a tasting, or cheered us on during these early months. This is just the beginning, and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow with purpose.
If you’d like to learn more about what we’re doing or visit the distillery, we’d love to show you around.

From our refill program and compostable packaging to water recirculation and repurposed botanicals, sustainability isn’t a side project — it’s woven into everything we do. We offer $5 off when you refill your 500ml WLD bottle in person, and we gladly accept empties for reuse in batching or events. Our packaging is plastic-free wherever possible, and our ingredients are sourced locally or grown onsite. Behind the scenes, we’re investing in better systems — like closed-loop water cooling, energy-efficient equipment, and waste-reduction initiatives — and we’re proud to be part of research programs like CSIRO’s Innovate to Grow. Even our gardens are planted with intention, combining edibles and natives to support biodiversity. It’s all part of our commitment to doing things differently.
